LIFESTYLE DIET RESET DAY 8

LIFESTYLE DIET RESET DAY 8

This week, it might be helpful to journal or blog more because of the constant changes in the news. It also distracts me from thinking about adopting another dog.

I’m not sure any dog can live up to my Forrest, forrest ead

Yesterday, I was thinking about Marilu Henner (who now hates me because I ran into her eating ICE CREAM). When I interviewed her, she mentioned something to me that really hit home. I think this is worth thinking about, today.

IF A LITTLE PILL AFFECTS YOUR BODY, WHAT DO YOU THINK AN ENTIRE CHICKEN DOES TO IT?

Makes sense, right? There is no magic bullet.

The truth is, I’m still here because I refused to blindly take anything people told me to take for my health. When you take the time to read about all the treatments out there, much of the time you are still at 50/50 for curing it. Why?

Your body is a system. I started thinking about it this way because the medical community intended to separate all of my bodily systems mechanically, make a couple of significant changes, and then hope all those systems would work together again.

Did you know there is a chart for your condition (whatever it is) and your life expectancy as a result of it? This information is used, ultimately, to decide your treatment plan going forward. If you require a life-saving surgery, there are a few important questions about you we need to ask you. Those answers will determine whether we will get approval and proceed with your procedure.

In my case, I was lucky. I was deemed worthy. However, after looking at every major hospital and research facility in the country and what they had tried and written about my particular condition, I realized my odds were better without their procedure. In fact, the business they conduct with certain types of procedures is VERY profitable as long as the goals are met. Generally, the patient has to survive for a certain period of time for hospitals to remain funded for these operations. (1 year, minimum, usually)

Through a LOT of soul-searching and a tattered, old, wrinkled prayer for healing I found among my mother’s belongings, I worked hard at beating the odds. VERY HARD. God healed me, for sure, but I put in the effort. Actually, for a mom who just became an empty-nester, I feel healthier now than I did in my twenties. That might sound rote, but it’s 100% true. A couple of other things happened during this time, we will discuss at some point. (A few kinda spooky things happened.)

LIFESTYLE DIET RESET DAY 8

Clear soul. Clear mind. Clear body. Meditation is highly underrated. If you have time, consider reading Dr. Andrew Weil’s writings on visualization for health. Your mind is powerful. Most people have no idea what they can do for themselves with a clear mindset.

I believe our souls (or what you choose to call them) matter. Our job, while we are here, is to try and respect the bodies we were given, knowing this world can be rather harsh at times. It is never too late to begin. When you are ready, rise above, open your mind and accept the GOOD the world offers to you. Not everyone is out to GET you.

My wish for today is… clarity.
