Elizabeth has the latest travel news including a story from Florida that’s rather troubling.
The NTSB is investigating safety issues concerning Brightline… the high speed rail service connecting Orlando and South Florida. Three people were killed last week in two separate accidents involving Brightline trains at the same intersection. The three deaths in Melbourne this week mark at least 108 since Brightline began operations in July 2017. That’s one death for approximately every 38,000 miles its trains travel, the worst death rate among the nation’s more than 800 railroads.
