Michael’s Favorite No Bake Chocolate Almond Butter Cup Tart

Michael’s  Favorite No Bake Chocolate Almond Butter Cup Tart always guarantees lots of hugs.

Ingredients Michael’s Favorite No Bake Chocolate Almond Butter Cup Tart

10 oz semisweet chocolate

2 TB coconut oil

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

cup of almond butter

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup coconut milk


Over low heat or a double boiler, melt chocolate with coconut oil. Add vanilla when you take it off the heat and stir it in.

Coat the bottom of a 9″ silicone baking pan with half the chocolate. Put in a freezer until it sets and hardens enough to put the almond mix over it.

In a medium bowl, mix almond butter, maple syrup and coconut milk.

Gently spread almond mixture over the set chocolate.

Then, pour the rest of the chocolate on top and chill until ready to serve.

Dip your cutter into warm/hot water before slicing for best results.

Elizabeth Dougherty has been cooking and writing about food intensively for more than ten years. She is the fourth generation of chefs and gourmet grocers in her family with her mother, Francesca Esposito and grandmother, Carmella being major influences in her early cooking years. As a teenager, her family sent her to Europe where she became focused on French and Italian cuisine. She survived a year and half of culinary tutelage under a maniacal Swiss-German chef and is a graduate of NYIT, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business and Labor Relations.
