Cast Iron Deep Dish Pizza
Made in a well-seasoned, 10" cast iron skillet, this deep dish pizza is terrific!

Quick Cast Iron Deep Dish Pizza

We love recipes that are quick, easy and budget-friendly. However, if you just want to relax and spend some time cooking, our Tomato and Goat Milk Cheese Tart, and Roast Beef with Frey Wine Gravy are favorites.  We’re calling it:  “The Quick Cast Iron Deep Dish Pizza  ” for a very good reason; you’ll spend 1 minute making it, and 15 minutes baking the this deep dish pizza favorite.

INGREDIENTS – Quick Cast Iron Deep Dish Pizza

1 container 8 organic biscuits
1 jar pizza sauce (we like it spicy)
1/2 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup diced tomato
Cooking spray or brush olive oil in pan
1/2 tsp each oregano and thyme

METHOD

Preheat oven to 450F

Spray or oil a 10″ seasoned cast iron skillet

Cover bottom of pan with biscuits in one layer.

Cut remaining biscuits in half and push up around sides

Brush bottom and sides with pizza sauce

Add half mozzarella cheese

Add another layer of sauce

Add rest of mozzarella cheese

Add diced tomato

Add parmesan

Add spices

Bake for 15 minutes or until nicely browned and cheese is melty.

Let cool for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
