IS THE GOVT STEALING GULF WATER FISH

IS THE GOVT STEALING GULF WATER FISH
The TRUTH about Food and Travel
Original Broadcast Date:  5/5/2012

From the Food And Travel Nation Archives:

In May 2012, Elizabeth met a small commercial fisherman who told a story of how, in the name of “conservation,” agencies within the federal government (in connection with big seafood interests) were taking ownership of the fish in the Gulf of Mexico.  At first this sounded like a fisherman’s tale.  There’s no possible way the government could do it, even if it wanted to.  Yet over the years, this is exactly what we’re seeing.  With the help of bureaucratic regulations that punish small family-owned businesses, we’re watching the wholesale transfer of the natural resources of the Gulf waters (seafood) to private industry.

This isn’t the first case of this.  It all revolves around money and power.  Remember, he who controls the food and water, controls the people.

The government allows private companies with exclusive permits to pump water from the ground and sell it at huge profit, regardless of the environmental damage they’re causing.  We see it in agriculture, too.  Foods that we were given to us by the creator are being genetically modified, patented, then sold to the public.  Then, the  original seeds are locked away in vaults.  Commercial food producers and even backyard farmers are being forced to purchase new seeds every season, instead of holding some back from year to year.

At what point do we (as the stewards God put into place to protect these resources) stand up and say ENOUGH?
