Everyone knows Michael (and I) love a good burger once in awhile. While NOTHING beats a home made burger, (and here’s our FAVORITE recipe) occasionally, I need the iron and I think Michael just needs the satisfaction! Truth is, a good hamburger can really hit the spot when you just don’t feel like cooking. Our biggest taste test EVER!  We put SEVEN different fast food cheeseburgers to the test.  You’ll hear which is worth the wait in the drive thru line and which ones aren’t!  f you want fries with that, we tasted some HERE.

Other than being high in saturated fat, a burger on its own with no fries or soda is not the unhealthiest thing in the world. Make it a double if you want to stay ahead on your protein/carb ratio. I skip all but the healthiest toppings, also. Fat- filled mayo, ketchup with corn syrup and salty pickles are not the most nutritional additions.

About Elizabeth Dougherty

Elizabeth Dougherty has been cooking and writing about food intensively for more than ten years. She is the fourth generation of chefs and gourmet grocers in her family with her mother, Francesca Esposito and grandmother, Carmella being major influences in her early cooking years. As a teenager, her family sent her to Europe where she became focused on French and Italian cuisine. She survived a year and half of culinary tutelage under a maniacal Swiss-German chef and is a graduate of NYIT, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business and Labor Relations.
