Destination Unknown – Hard Luck Mine Castle

Tour Date:  09/19/2020
Tour Guide: Elizabeth Dougherty

Elizabeth takes us 35 miles south of Goldfield, Nevada to the Hard Luck Mine Castle.   A former gold mine, (1897-1945) the site is now the home of Randy Johnson who built a 4 story, self-contained, off-the-grid fortress in the Nevada desert.  There’s also a story/lesson here about the differences between simply holding a property deed versus holding absolute title to your land.

Enjoy!
