Gladys Presley died in 1958 and two years later, Vernon and his new wife moved out. Graceland was Elvis’ home and headquarters until his death in 1977, and then was opened as a public museum/attraction in 1982. Elvis’ daughter Lisa Marie inherited Graceland in 1993 and he home was added to the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark.
As December 2019 came to an end, Elizabeth and Michael traveled to Memphis and stayed in The Guesthouse at Graceland.
