ELIZABETH’S EASY BECHAMEL SAUCE

Here’s a simple Bechamel Sauce you’ll use over and over again.

INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 1/4 cups whole milk
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

METHOD
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.  Add flour and whisk until well mixed.  Add milk and bring to a light boil.  Add salt, pepper and nutmeg.  Remove from heat and allow to rest before using in your favorite recipe
