Chili Lime Sweet Potato Cuban Thanksgiving

Yum. Chili Lime Sweet Potato.

Everyone has been there. You sit down at the dinner table for Thanksgiving and one of the side dishes is sweet potato pie or (gasp) sweet potato casserole with marshmallows on top. Here’s something a little different with some flavors that may be new to you.

4 large sweet potatoes (NOT yams)
2 serrano chilis
1 TB chili powder (more to taste)
2 TB lime juice
sea salt and white pepper

Peel and cube the sweet potatoes
Slice the chilis
Saute in a little olive oil with the chilis and chili powder on medium heat until fork tender
Remove from heat, smash with a fork and add the lime juice, season to taste.
